Trust & Safety Model

A parent-first privacy model designed for exploration without exposure.

Data Minimization

We do not require a child's email address or phone number. We use safe display names and grade bands instead of full birthdates. Verifiable parental consent is required before collecting personal information.

No Open Communication

Pepper's Engineer Quest features absolutely no open child messaging in V1. There are no direct messages, no open comments, no public child directory, and no follower counts.

Fixed Positive Reactions

Interaction in the community is limited to fixed positive reactions like "AWESOME BUILD!" or "GREATEST ENGINEER EVER!"—which triggers Pepper throwing Golden Gears into the air.

Project Photo Rules

We teach children the Photo Rule: Photograph your BUILD only. Keep faces, names, addresses, school names, mail, and other private information out of the picture. Every uploaded photo enters a quarantine storage for automated safety review before parental and moderation approval.

Consent-sensitive features remain unavailable until the parent completes the required consent step. Parents stay in control of whether sharing features are available to a child profile.
